XyEnterprise XML Professional Publisher, Design
Science MathFlow Editor Integrate to Support MathML Standard in Publishing
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- April 4, 2005 --
XyEnterprise, the leading developer of XML content management and enterprise
publishing software, announced today that its XML Professional Publisher (XPP)
publishing software now integrates with Design Science’s standards-based
MathFlow™ Editor.
XPP is an XML-based publishing system used to produce scientific, technical
and medical journals, as well as many other types of print and electronic
publications. Combined with MathFlow‘s intuitive graphical interface, which
supports the creation of complex mathematical expressions, publishers of complex
mathematical information now have a user-friendly publishing tool that supports
the increasingly important MathML standard.
“MathML has been widely adopted as a standard means of representing and
exchanging mathematical expressions since becoming a World Wide Web Consortium
(W3C) recommendation,” says Kevin Duffy President and CEO of XyEnterprise. “We
are proud to team with Design Science to offer a solution that supports the
MathML standard while providing an intuitive user interface that many authors
have been looking for.”
Dr. Robert Miner, Director of New Product Development at Design Science and
co-chair of the MathML Interest Group at the W3C, says, “Design Science has long
recognized XPP’s capability to rapidly format complex pages and deal with
sophisticated mathematics. The integration of the MathFlow Editor with XPP
extends our MathML-based offerings and provides customers the ability to adopt a
flexible, standards-based solution for mathematical publishing in many
environments.”
