Design Science Announces MathFlow Partner Program
Consultants integrate mathematical
content into XML publishing systems
LONG BEACH, Calif. — May 27, 2008 — Design Science, Inc.,
makers of the MathFlow line of MathML editing and composition tools for XML
publishing, today announced the launch of the MathFlow Partner Program for
systems integrators, consultants and VARs. The program is designed for
consulting and sales organizations who have clients with mathematical content
that are implementing XML publishing systems.
Technology based organizations in areas such as
engineering, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, government, and publishing, all have
mathematical notation in their content. "By introducing MathFlow into their
workflow, they will ensure that mathematical notation, and the important
semantic information it contains, is not left out of their XML solution, making
sure it is available for search, accessibility, interoperability and retargeting
of their content," said Paul Topping, President of Design Science. MathFlow is
already in use at Airbus, American Chemical Society, American Institute of
Physics, Bechtel Bettis, Boeing, Houghton Mifflin, LexisNexis, MathWorks,
McGraw-Hill, Northrop Grumman, Schlumberger, and by many other industry leaders.
Design Science also developed MathType
and the Equation Editor built into Microsoft Office. These products are used by
millions of people worldwide, and most of the mathematics in content today is
created using these products. "A lot of organizations working with math
content ask
us to consult as they begin their move to XML," said Bruce Virga, Design
Science's VP of Sales. "Now we introduce partners we know are able to sweat the details with respect to MathML, and who have expertise
with other aspects of XML workflows."
As of the program's launch,
Index IT,
Oberon
Technologies, Ovidius,
Portalyx,
TerraSoft,
TerraXML, and
xEdge Consultancy have signed on
as authorized MathFlow partners. More partners will be announced in the coming
weeks.
