MathType for Macintosh is a powerful
interactive tool that lets you create mathematical notation for word
processing, web pages, desktop publishing, presentations, and for TeX,
LaTeX, and MathML documents.
System Requirements
MathType 5 for Macintosh:
Mac OS 9, Mac OS X 10.1, or newer.
20 MB free hard disk space.
MathType will run on any Macintosh
computer. MathType is not RAM-intensive so listing its
requirements is not necessary.
CD-ROM for installation (not required if
product is downloaded via the Internet).
MathType does not require Microsoft Office or Microsoft
Word. However, it adds a MathType toolbar and menu to Microsoft Word for
Macintosh 2004, X, 2001, and 98.
MathType is currently not compatible with Office 2008.
